who is melles

hello friends! my name is melody, and this is my blog (wip).

i am an nb transfem (she/they), lesbian who loves all things beautiful. i live in new york and go to a community college, and i aspire to go to a conservatory to study music technology. i've been into different forms of artistic expression for my whole life, as i wasn't a people person in my earlier years. i grew up drawing and playing the trombone, and i wanted to be a youtube animator. sadly i was too impatient for the whole "animation" thing so i just stuck with drawing. around 2020, i discovered frank ocean, and with that a found a new love for music that consumed everything i did. 2 years later i started picking up production on fl studio. i am inspired by art pop, alternative r&b, indietronica, underground rap avant-jazz, art music and electronic experimental, with musicians such as bjork, elysia crampton, sophie, tek lintowe, ecco2k, james ferraro, fka twigs and pharaoh sanders. i love art and everything surrounding it, and am relearning illustration. i love shojou art and vintage illustrations, especially postcards and precious moments and the like. i would also want to explore other mediums like graphics, photography and misc. crafts.
